Q: What is an individual lease?

A: Each resident is responsible for the rent on his/her bedroom(s). If one roommate moves out the remaining roommates are not responsible for the rent or damages for his/her bedroom. All roommates are responsible for the common areas (living room, kitchen, halls, etc.).

Q: What is roommate placement?

A: College Station will help match you with a roommate(s) if you do not have a roommate according to apartment size and gender requirements. Phone numbers are exchanged and introductions to be made between tenant and future resident. 

Q: How do I pay my rent?

A: Rent is due on the first of each month. Rent can be paid by personal check, money order or cashiers check. EChecks, Credit Cards & Debit Cards are accepted through our online payment system. No cash is accepted. Rent checks can be mailed to our office or placed in our 24 hour rent drop box after business hours.   *Fees may apply for online payments

Q: What if I need maintenance in my bedroom or apartment? 

A: Residents can fill out a maintenance request online, or via e-mail. For after-hours maintenance emergencies call 309.823.0108.

Q: What about insurance in case of fire, theft, or natural disaster? Are my belongings covered under my lease agreement?

A: Personal belongings are not covered. Renter’s insurance is required. Proof of insurance is required within 7 days of move in.

Q: How do I receive my mail?

A: The U.S. Postal Service delivers to the locked mailbox designated for each apartment. Packages will be delivered to your apartment or the carrier (UPS, Fed Ex, DHL, etc.) will leave you a notice (on your door or in your mailbox) if you are not home stating when and where you can pick up your package.
